Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a sixteen year old American who was born in Miami Florida. Her mother is English and half Spanish. Her parents include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. His father is an Argentine with Scottish and English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings. One of them is from each of her parents' previous marriages. They resided in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, later moving to Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatizing and that she was unable to take the time to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House, a school located in the same area as Northlands was obligated to accept her. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At the age of 16 she left the school to pursue a profession acting full-time. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to become an actor. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered an opportunity as a model.
