Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer known as being a part of the group One Direction. His parents are Des Styles and Anne Cox. He was born on the 1st of February, 1994 in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own band, composed of three classmates, which he called White Eskimo. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009, thanks to their outstanding performance. The musician always had an interest in music. However, he would like to work as an attorney or a physical therapist. In order to provide for his family, he spent a short time working part-time at a baker's shop. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010 and was a part of Is not She Lovely, the Stevie Wonder song. He was chosen. This is why his group were forced to split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group performed the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which allowed them to become the top contenders for winning the competition. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't place, but Cowell did pay 2 million pounds to One Direction for them to sign a deal with Syco.
